After pulling out all the stops to arrange a bigger and better county rally dance the 2006 county rally
committee hosted an excellent evening at Carr Farm, Flinton by kind permission of JL Caley & Son. After
securing the shed for the night time event the objective was clear given such a suitable location and layout.
The committee were told the shed could hold 1000 people and were hell bent on putting Young Farmers back on the
social map in Holderness!
The night came and was a tremendous success with an estimated attendance of 750-800 people including past and present young farmers and friends of young farmers too. Rich Achlam of Track Back Disco's provided a lively warm up and follow up to the band and the Hog Roast was going down well amongst all.
The committee were assured that the band would be lively, fun and up for the young farmers event and White Van Man didn't fail to impress on the night, the energetic front man Tony Audience (aka Bob Hope), after a 8 mile run! rocked for an hour and a half set to a jumping and responsive crowd of young farmers. Afterwards the band suggested "it was like playing a gig at Glastonbury" and hence thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Watch this space for a bigger band, bigger shed and bigger bar in Holderness next year!
